CROP Walk
Columbia Hope Church is proud to be a part of
Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty (CROP)
Sponsored by Church World Services, which is part of the ecumenical family of the National Council of Churches USA. In 2008 it used 80+% of its support for Social & Economic Development, US Hunger & Development, Disaster Relief and Recovery, Education and Advocacy, and Mission Relationships and Witness, and less that 20% for administration and fund raising. 75% of the collections from the Columbia Crop Walk will go to relieve hunger in Africa. 25% will remain in Columbia, split between Loaves and Fishes and the Interfaith Day Center (for homeless persons), and the Russell Chapel Food Pantry.
