Denominational Affiliation

As an Episcopal congregation, we are part of a much larger fellowship of Christians around the world.  Specifically, we belong to the world-wide Anglican Communion and The Episcopal Church in the United States.  On a local level we belong to the Diocese of Missouri.  Our Bishop is The Rt. Rev. Wayne Smith, and the bishop’s offices are located in St. Louis.  Within the wide fellowship of our denomination, we find rich, spiritual blessings such as connectedness, fellowship, belonging, communion, and shared mission.  We find that we have something in common with our brothers and sisters in Christ, and that we never again need to feel alone in the world.  Columbia Hope looks forward to becoming a sister congregation with Calvary Episcopal Church: a healthy, vibrant, program-sized church in downtown Columbia.
