Meet the Pastor

The Rev. Heather M. McCain has responded to God’s call to become the Church Planter for Columbia, MO. Heather has a Bachelor of Arts from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina and a Master’s of Divinity from Seabury-Western Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois. Since her ordination in 1994, she has served the Church in three locations: Deerfield, IL; Springfield, MO; and Greensboro, NC. For the past six years, she served as Vicar of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit, where she enjoyed working with her multi-cultural congregation to promote justice and peace in the community. Before going into the ministry, Heather served as a French teacher for grades six through twelve at an Episcopal school in the Cajun Country of southwest Louisiana. One of her hobbies is baking: for several years she baked bread at Great Harvest Bread Company.
